Hi all,
I'm still relatively new to couponing, so forgive me this rather lame question: does Kroger announces in any way that they will have some extra doubling? Or you just get to know it at the time you pay?
My local Kroger (NW Houston) always doubles coupon up to $0.50 and they sometimes triple coupons up to $0.35. But I've heard Kroger stores would double coupons up to $1.00 from time to time. Is there a way to know when would that happen or is it always a surprise?

Basically it is hit and miss, My husband caught an add in the Detroit News one week and then I heard a radio commercial for a different week. There werent even any adversing for it in store. I wish they would announce on the website or something more popular but it is word of mouth or just getting lucky and catching a back channel ad.

I'll keep my eyes open and maybe some good promotions will come sometimes... anyway now after reading threads here I understand that one can consider oneself lucky if local grocery store double AT ALL, accept printables etc.

For best deals, Krogers here often advertises in newspapers. One reason I will miss the daily paper.
