Angry CVS Frustration rant

So, I recently moved to a new city and did my first trip to the nearest CVS last night. It was horrible. They denied 1 cvs coupon and 1 mfg coupon. I could tell the cashier was new and i told him what the coupon policy was. He called over the shift supervisor and immediately was a jerk. He threw coupons back at me and was completely snippy the whole time. And then when the transaction was over he apologized but did it like well i have to so..."I'm sorry". AGHHHH... Normally i wouldn't get so upset but they denied non expired coupons that between the 2 totaled $35!!! So it was not just $2 i was out. I ended up OOP $37 when it should have been only $2. There are other CVS' around here and i think i will drive a bit farther so i don't have to deal with that man again. On hold waiting for customer care....

There are getting nastier about coupons. My store by my house, every time I go in there the shift manager rolls his eyes when I checkout and sighs heavily and loudy. I am almost temped to call customer service number and complain on him and a couple othersd that either do the same thing or are just plain nasty to me. It shouldn't happen, but sadly it does.

Anyone of you get a cashier who refuses to take a mfg coupon and a store coupon for the same item, constantly telling you "Only one coupon per item, ma'am"? I get that all the time, and trying to explain to them that I am not using 2 mfg coupons, nor am I using 2 store coupons, but one of each, which is perfectly acceptable, does no good. They just don't seem to understand.

If they don't follow their coupon policy, then you should be calling customer service. Tell Customer Service exactly that: the employees are not following the coupon redemption policy. That will get the job done...may take a few days, but it will happen.

I frankly can't imagine paying the $37 OOP. More than a few times in my life, I have politely asked for items to be voided from my order when the associated coupon was rejected.

I only paid the $37 OOP b/c there was a rebate in the box for $40. I called customer care today and spoke with a really nice lady. She apologized alot and i complained about the shift supervisor. She said she will call district today and the local manager (not the supervisor) will call me within 48 hours to let me know i can come and and he will give me that amount due. She also said that the "attitude" problem will be taken care of and not to worry. Well at least i will get my $$ that was rightfully owed. WOO HOO! That was the first time i called customer care and i was very pleased with my experience. I found out he is a night supervisor so i guess if i go to that store it will be a day trip
