I believe that it has previously been a policy on Families.com that they do not allow selling of any items. Lisa (cocotbo), the Community Manager, has said that she prefers to leave that type of thing to Ebay.

Regarding trading, she left it up to the mods to make some decisions regarding what would be allowed and not allowed. Several of us were uncomfortable with the idea of trading actuals, and together we agreed that it would not be allowed.

I'm sorry I don't have a more concrete answer for you. The way I see it right now, we're kind of rebuilding a community, and we want to try to keep things simple. I could foresee that some policies may change (some becoming more lenient, some more strict) as we get more experience here and see what will work.

I don't want to see random complaints about the policies, but if anyone has any valid comments or suggestions that they honestly think would improve the community, we would certainly be willing to listen and consider them.
