Default Do you waste food?

I am always very careful not to waste food. It just makes me so mad when I have to throw something out. I always ask the kids how much they want or what they want so I don't give them too much, and then they not eat it and throw it out. A while back my oldest daughter had a friend stay over night, and she just wasted so much food!! I can't remember what we had for supper but I remember she only took a few bites of it and said she didn't like it. They had snacks all night and when I got up in the morning there was SOOOO much in the trash. Those Oreo sticks with cream, fruit roll ups, popcorn, just TONS of stuff. I asked my daughter about it and she told me her friend just didn't like anything, and kept telling her she was hungry, and then she would throw it away. I mean what kid dosn't like those Oreo cream stick things????

Tonight I let the kids have some pop tarts for a snack and my daughter took two bites out of it and threw the rest away!! I was so mad, cause one of the other kids would have eaten it or even saved the other one for later. She said, but Mom, you have 10 boxes out in the garage. I told her I didn't care if I had 100 boxes out in the garage, we don't waste food!! I really hope my kids don't think they can just waste food just cause we have so much of it. Maybe her friend is rubbing bad habbits off on her or something. Or maybe her friend saw how much food we had and thought she could just waste it. I don't know but it just really irrated me when she said that..."but we have 10 boxes in the garage"
