Default Eckerds New Rule

I went to eckerds yesturday to do a -- deal. Apparently the registers are now programmed not to take coupons on sale items can anyone confirm this? I asked several people their and they all said the same thing?

if thats the case then they will be out of business before long. I noticed around my area no one uses Rite Aid or Eckerds. The only thing that drags people in is there really good sales and the people that coupon bring them big business. Hope they don't mess up.

I used the mentadent internet mfrr cpn ($2/1) yesterday at a Eckerd which was on sale for $2. It didn't even beep.

I used a bunch of coupons at Eckerds on Friday--only sale items. I had no trouble.

It seems like every time cashiers tell us that "the registers are programmed," or "we're not allowed to," it's a lie. . We should almost have a "the most recent store policy urban legend" forum.

The only time I believe things is when I or several other couponers report that THEY noticed certain changes, for example, when several of us noticed that our Walgreen's receipts started specifying which store items had had coupons used on them so we couldn't use the before-store-coupon amount to get credit for gift cards and promotions.

I did the Oil of Olay deal Sat. @ 3 diff Eckerds, 2 diff towns for a total of 5 times. All items were on sale, used $10 store cpn, 3/2 & 1/1 man. cpn each time. No problem here yet!

Some Brooks have a sign at the register that they don't take printables. One took them, the other wouldn't.
