This is my first post on the forum. I'm pretty new to the couponing and very interested in getting serious about it. I was very excited this weekend when I went to the grocery store and saved $25 in just coupons, and that's including 6 that were tripled!
Anyways, I live in Niagara Falls, NY now but yesterday afternoon FedEx delivered a letter from GM (General Motors) offering my husband a transfer to Shreveport, Louisiana GM Plant. We had to give them our answer this morning and we agreed to go. So we will be living in Shreveport, maybe Bossier City as of August 28th.
Just curious what chain of grocery stores would be in my area. I am going to be absolutely clueless to what is down there. I'm excited and nervous and sad about the move since I am very close to my family, but we need to do what's best for our family (myself, my husband and son). So any help would be appreciated. I looked up online and saw that there is a Super Walmart and Super Target in the area so I'm excited about that too!

I am not sure exactly which stores are in Shreveport area but I can assure you there are plenty of stores there. Shreveport, Bossier City area is a very big place. Maybe not as big as New York City but it is big. I have not been there in a few years but I am sure it has grown since I've been there. A few of the stores that you might want to check to see if they have them in that area are Piggly Wiggly, SuperFresh, Brookshire, Winn Dixie and maybe a Krogers. I still visit north Lousiana but just not Shreveport area. HTH

Shreveport has similiar stores that I have near me. Kroger and Albertson's are the major chain stores there. I think there might be a Super 1 Foods which is an affliate of Brookshire's. I'm pretty sure the Winn Dixies closed last year. HTH!
