Default Following Ralphs?

Anyone heard that Vons may be changing their policy to follow Ralphs? I just read on another board, but can not confirm. Anyone have any info?
I was afraid this would happen

Nevermind - I found the article from the OC Register - apparently it's true. Off to send an email and call to log my opinion on this. Guess this is the last big hurrah week for Vons!

It was in a past issue, but if you go to ocregister.com and search vons it should pop up. The link I have is from the GG site so I don't think I can link it here. But I did confirm this with a cashier/manager today at my local Vons. Starting the 20th, no more doubles up to $1

You're welcome Bigbubba - figured we'd get one last good week out there and see what could be made with it.
Also you can do the Kelloggs deal (10 items) for just over $8 and then get $10 rebate by mail back if you haven't done it already.

This is a shame. There are fewer double coupon stores around suddenly. Wonder what's up?

Looks like I'll be doing a majority of my shopping at the local farmers market Sprouts, and shop for non-food items at Target/Walmart.

Sprouts has better produce than the majors, at probably half the price, and their meat counter is just as good.

Sad...

Yeah I need to make a price list for Target/WM now so I know what their prices are. I like Henry's for fruit/veggies (our Sprouts is farther and in a bad area), but haven't tried their meat yet.
