Default Harris Teeter -- coupon policy and other stuff

I'm going to ask that this be stickied as I think it is good info - esp for anyone who doesn't usually shop HT.

I am copying the coupon policy straight from HT website:
http://www.harristeeter.com/default.aspx?pageId=324

1. We accept coupons that have not passed their expiration date for use; we can not accept any expired coupons.

2. We accept only one manufacturer coupon per purchased item

3. We do not accept coupons on items not purchased

4. Coupons must be presented at time of purchase; we can not return money for coupons not used

5. Coupons presented and items purchased must match exactly; size, variety, flavor, etc.

6. We uphold any purchase stipulations set forth by product manufacturer

7. We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get one Free items; we can not accept a coupon for a product that is received free.

8. We accept coupons for items only of equal or more value; we don’t give cash back.

9. Sales tax is paid by customer at full retail.

10. We accept 20 double coupons per day per household with VIC card; all others redeemed at face value.

11. We double manufacturer coupons up to face value of .99; with total amount not to exceed $1.98 or entire retail of item; whichever is less.

12. We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value.

13. We accept “cents off” internet coupons

14. No “FREE” product internet coupons are accepted

15. We accept up to two (2) internet coupons per manufacturer product, per store visit.

16. We do not accept internet coupons that do not appear to be originals or that won’t scan

17. Internet coupons that state 'not subject to doubling or tripling' will be handled as such .

If you'd like info on overages and such, PM me.

OK... did editing. I did leave some of my comments b/c I felt they were just conversations I have had with asst mgrs and mgrs at HTs. LMK if I need to remove anything else.

I would probably delete all of your bold comments. It could still get some of the more lenient managers to tighten up if they see this or if corporate hears of it they may come down hard on the managers. This is just my 2cents.

I know what I posted in the OP, but HT has changed their policy. NOw BOGO items ring up 1/2 price each; thus they will now take 1 coupon per item. So 2 coupons for BOGO.

Angry Harris Teeter Newport News VA

I was at the Harris Teeter Newport News (where I normally shop) and was stopped at the checkout lane by the customer service desk manager. I had given them 6 formula checks that were expired last time I was in there so they confronted me about it. I apologized and offered to pay the $6. They accepted. Then they proceeded to examine all my coupons as if they were counterfiet! Store manager came over after I had had enough and was firm borderline rude and said I committed coupon fraud. My complaint is they have my info, called me by my name and thought it was good customer service to blindside me at the checkout! Harris Teeter has my info they should have called me at home and we could have rectified the situation with me being mortified in public. Thank goodness I was not in there at rush hour for more people quawk at me. Brian Rezmer the store manager made me feel like a criminal. Anyone else had problems like this?? I love Harris Teeter! By the way I made sure they got my check for $6 on the way out!! Didn't spend $$ on baby formula either! Nor the $159.99 backyard swing I was looking at! Thinking of taking back that Christmas merry go round I bought on clearance.
