Hi. We went to Gulf Shores last March & loved it! We hope to go this Summer. But we're also hoping to go to the mountains in the fall so we need to save $$$. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriot & it was pricey then...by the looks online it's about $159 + (if we go in July) for the Queen room we stayed in last year. Anyone know of any good deals & nice hotels to stay at....or any info on Condos (I know they will be pricey too). Help!
Should I call a travel agent. My SIL suggested it but I thought better deals were online.
I'd suggest looking at www.vrbo.com, which is a site of Vacation Rentals by Owners. I was looking at Gulf Shores and the Florida panhandle for a possible rental recently and there are all kinds of rentals for the Gulf area.
I agree - try VRBO. We have stayed in this area several times and have always rented from owners with no problems and great customer service. The Tidewater is Orange Beach was one of our favorites.
Hi. I found a 2 b.r. 1 bath condo that sleeps 4-6 people for $800.00 a week!!! The owner advertised in local paper. That is so cheap & we've been wanting to rent a condo. Hotel rooms aren't big enough for us anymore & I like having a kitchen to cook in or whatever. Now i need to know what stores in or around Gulf Shores double or triple coupons. Anyone know? The woman who owns the condo also has some 2 br/2baths for 900.00 wk & a house that sleeps up to 10 people for 1200.00 wk. They rent from Sat. to Sat. If anyone's interested pm me. I'll post back after vacation & give my opinion on the condo. But vacations not till July 14 so it'll be a while!
