Default I want to see how soon Eckerds will be out of business

I stoped shop at Eckerds for about two years. Today i went in to buy the Cottonelle wipes. The refill ones is @$1.89 per pack this week. I have many of the $1 off coupons. I bought 6 packs and gave the cashier 6 coupons. The cashier told me that I could use only one coupon per purchase. The coupon said one per purchase. I told her calmly that I had 6 purchases. She insisted that I had only one purchase and went on saying that her district manager will review her register tape and she would be in trouble. I told her I made 6 purchases not one and could purchase the 6 packs separately. She then called an older lady over and she told me the same. Of course I insisted that I was right. The older one told her to go ahead. There were about 4 people behind me by now. So she went on and finished the sanning and I paid for it. I tried to be nice to her so I said "I am sorry! I didn't mean to be make it this difficult for you." She replied "You just did!". I said "Excuse me?!" She repeated again "You just did!" I am so mad. I told her" You just don't know how to do your job! Maybe you should be retrained for this $5.25/Hour job!!" I know I was bad but I just couldn't help it. I will call corporate tomorrow. I will not step in Eckerds again.

I just received a $100 Eckerd/Brook Giftcard in the mail. It says I was a first prize winner in the Anniversary sweepstakes. I can't remember ever entering such a sweepstakes. And I rarely set foot in Eckerd. I hope I can get it used before it becomes invalid with the buyout.

Yes, IMHO the cashiers are not too bright in Eckerd. And not too pleasant.

They are never any employees around to help, they are always out of stock, the cashiers are not trained properly, etc.

Every week I only shop there when there are frees to be had. They are always out. I ask them to help me find the item and they wander around the store trying to find it, then say "I guess it is out, oh well/." To which I always respond "oh well? What kind of option is oh well? How about a raincheck you lazy ***?" They are supposed to give the item to you for free if they are out of stock on a FAR..once it is in stock. No Eckerd employee, however, is trained on this policy, and they all try to treat you like you are trying to pull one over on them when you cite this policy. Overall, the employees are all poorly trained and do not have positive customer service dispositions. It is three blocks from my house, but I only go to take their FAR items from them gladly, and I spend my hard-earned bucks on non-free items at another store, where my business is appreciated.

But I sure do love taking their free after rebate items from them!

I worked for Rite Aid when I was in college. They treat employees horribly and pay next to nothing. I also had a similar altercation at an Eckerd Store.

Training is the key word here. Although Riteaid has a better rebate program, you will still get the occasional "bad" cashier that will always say "one coupon per purchase". I've had that happen at Riteaid, CVS, etc...
I've learned to stay calm and say if you don't want to do it that way...then just seperate the order and do it individually. That actually gets them confused and more upset...but then they realize that it was much easier to leave it all in one order instead of making seperate orders.

yes, as soon as they are back in stock. Ask the manager at your store. Maybe it is only in NJ.

eckerds does have that stupid rule where you can only redeem 6 like coupons per transaction. And you weren't in the wrong. She was... Unless the coupons were one per transaction
