Default Walgreens FAQ

Q: I've never done an easysaver rebate before! How is it done?
A: No UPC codes needed for most walgreens rebates.
You take your receipt..circle the item and price and write the offer number next to the item on your receipt.
You can get either a check or a gift card. If you choose a gift card you get 10% MORE back on your rebate.
You then can use your gift card to purchase next months rebate stuff and you can also purchase gift cards for other stores using your walgreens gift card.

Q: What if I forget to send my receipt in?
A: Give them a call and explain the situation. They should be able to help you with it.

Q: How can I check my easysaver rebate status?
A: Via this link: http://rebatestatus.walgreens.com/lo...allastname.asp

Q: How can I get a rebate reciept at my Walgreens
A: While not all Walgreens have the capability to print them out, this thread outlines the procedure for those that can:

Q: Can I use the rebate reciept for the easysaver?
A: No. Only the original reciept can be used (although you can sometimes use the electronic journal) for easysaver rebates. Use the rebate reciept for mfr rebates.

Q: Can I use mfr coupons with a 7 day coupon, an easysaver instant value coupon or with clearance items?
A: Yes, you can. If the mfr coupon causes overage or if even .01 more than the cost, you may have problems. They do have the capability to override the cost of the item to make it match the coupon price to still make it free, though not all stores will do this.

Q: Can I use 2 coupons when purchasing B1G1F items?
A: YMMV on this depending on how it rings up and the store policy. Many of the B1G1 items will ring regular/sale price on the first item and 0 on the 2nd item. In this case you may not be able to use 2 coupons. The argument here is frequently that since they are both rung up, both should qualify for the coupons. The reality is the second item is rung up for inventory purposes and not for the "sale". It will depend on the store policy as to how they deal with the coupons.

Q: Can I use printables at Walgreens?
A: Again, YMMV from store to store. Best to check with the management of your particular store to make sure they are taking them. With the use of fradulent printables, many stores have stopped taking them.

Q: OH NO! I forgot to redeem my mfr, 7day, or instant value coupon!
A: No problem. Walgreens is pretty good about honoring them after the purchase has been made.

Q: Some people have reported certain items on clearance at their stores but I cant find it at mine.
A: This is a YMMV situation. Not all stores carry the exact same merchandise. One store may not have any left when the item goes on clearance. If the item is close to an expiration date, they may choose to dispose of it in another way. Some stores have their clearance in a separate part of the store (like an endcap), while others keep it in the usual location and use an orange shelf tag. Still others might not have the clearanced items marked as such -- then you'd have to ask an employee to scan the item to find out if it's on clearance

Q: My Walgreens never has sale items in stock!
A: This can have many causes. The manager may not be adept at anticipating the demand for an item, the warehouse may not have the item, or their delivery date causes them to get some of the items during the sale and not before. You can talk to a member of management to find out what the possible cause is. If necessary, they have the ability to get the item in from other stores. Its only good customer service to do so and you have the right to (politely) demand they do so.
