Baseball Loving Actress Gets Dream Job and A Warning About Explosive Aftershave

BASEBALL LOVING ACTRESS GETS DREAM JOB I always pegged Alyssa Milano as a girly girl. I know; she played a tomboy on ABC’s hit show “Who’s the Boss?” But, that was on screen. The rest of the time I’ve seen her decked out in glamorous gowns with flawless make up and beautiful shoes. And that’s not just at Hollywood events. I’ve seen numerous paparazzi shots of Milano cruising around L.A. with nary a hair out of place. Now, word comes that the actress has landed what she considers her “dream job,” and it’s not working as the muse of top … Continue reading

Green Celebrities: Bob Barker

Bob Barker left “The Price is Right” in 2007, but as a game show host, he remains a television icon. If you ever watching him on the show, you may remember that at the end of almost every episode, he reminded us to “Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.” (This work is in the public domain in that it was published in the United States between 1923 and 1977 and without a copyright notice. Unless its author has been dead for several years, it is copyrighted in jurisdictions that do not apply the rule of … Continue reading

Jesse James and Kat Von D Split, Gene Simmons Proposes

Jesse James gushed about his romance with tattoo artist Kat Von D. She was the one for him. She made him feel like no other woman ever had, was his best friend and the year he split from wife Sandra Bullock was actually the best year of his life because of this “amazing woman.” Von D responded in kind. She said “There is no one else for me. He’s the one.” James claimed Von D was “so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day.” I mean, he declared his for her was “beyond … Continue reading

Farewell to Fairy Tales

Having worked in TV news for more than a decade I am used to seeing “Breaking News” alerts pop-up on my computer screen. However, yesterday’s bulletin, which read: “Disney shelves fairytale movies” made me realize that the term “Breaking News” is painfully overused, and in this case, inappropriate. Or is it? If you are the parent of a princess-in-training, you know, the kid, who lives in her Cinderella costume, insists on wearing her tiara – even in the shower – and refuses to believe that frogs aren’t really handsome princes in disguise, then the news is probably life-altering. In our … Continue reading

Star Updates: Gisele Bundchen and Farrah Fawcett

It looks as though Gisele Bundchen may finally be getting her ultimate wish. Reports say that the supermodel is expecting her first child with husband Tom Brady. In other news, Bridget Moynahan is hoping that once Bundchen gives birth she will leave her 18-month-old son with Brady alone. I know a few people who’ll drink to that. You’ll recall that Brady dumped Moynahan right before she discovered she was pregnant with his child. The football star then hooked up with Bundchen, and the two recently got hitched twice-—once in California, and again, last month in Costa Rica. The Victoria’s Secret … Continue reading

The entire sale brought in a total of $601,000 for the Bob and Dolores Hope Charitable Foundation, which helps U.S. veterans.
