Trading 101
This is an update of our policy as of Feb 3 2008. McMama
Rules:- The Coupon for Coupon forum is specifically for trading coupons and forms. DO NOT ask for stamps, gift cards, and the like in this forum.
- The Coupons for Other Items forum is for trading coupons or forms in exchange for items that are NOT coupons or forms. You may ask for the other items listed below as allowed.
- The Misc forum is for trading other items (not coupons/forms) in exchange for other items (not coupons/forms). This includes any other items listed below as allowed.
- In order to keep the trading forum free from clutter and to give everyone an equal opportunity to be seen, we request that you limit "bumping" your posts to once every 2 days.
- Auctions are not allowed (you can't say "or best offer").
- Do not post multiple 'have' or 'want' lists. We ask that you condense them into one post.
The following items are allowed to be traded here at Families.com: - Coupons
- Expired coupons
- Printable coupons
- Rebate Forms
- Formula Checks
- Gift cards
- Postage stamps
- Product Rewards (BTFE, etc.)
- UPCs
The following items are NOT allowed to be traded anywhere at Families.com:- Cash Register Tapes (CRTs/Receipts)
- Complete deals
- Concealed cash (CC)
- Actuals
- Paypal Handling Fee (PPHF)
General Trading Guidelines:
Check feedback before finalizing a trade.
- If a person does not have any feedback and you plan to hold their trade until you receive their end, please inform them beforehand.
- If you do run into a bad trade here at Families.com, please leave proper feedback to warn others. Before leaving negative feedback, please contact the other trader via private message and email after a reasonable time has passed, and give them three days to respond. If you have not received a response, then use the Itrader feedback system.
- Mail trades within 24 hours (unless it is a weekend or holiday).
- Please inform the person you are trading with if you are not able to mail within a timely manner. Since the majority of our members trade coupons needed for a sale, they need the coupons to be mailed immediately.
- Do NOT hold trades, UNLESS you have informed the other trader you are doing so.
Record your trades.
- Recording your trades allows you to keep track of whether a trade is missing or late. Useful information to record: Trader's username, mailing address, items traded, date the trade was finalized, and the date you mailed your end.
- Don't forget to write your Families.com username either on the envelope or a note/trade slip included with your trade.
Trading is at your own risk. Families.com will not be held responsible for bad trades made on our forums. It is your responsibility to check feedback before finalizing a trade.
